What it is
A traveller learns to carry what matters. When the signal drops, your library should still open.
We’re building Operation Noah’s Ark, an offline knowledge compendium. It aims to hold the practical core of how things work: clean water, food that keeps, basic medicine and sanitation, energy and circuits, materials, measurement and machining, radio, shelter, and careful thinking. It’s designed to open from a USB stick or a phone, with no account and no connection.
We don’t own this knowledge. Most of it is openly licensed text from other people, credited under its licence. What we add is the work: we choose what’s worth carrying, check it against primary sources, organize it so you can find it, and package it so it opens offline.

A search page that runs in any browser, offline.
A searchable index that compatible AI assistants can read, so they answer from Operation Noah’s Ark and cite their source.
Who it’s for: homesteaders and off-grid households, cabin and rural folks, teachers and makers, ham-radio and emergency-prep groups, and anyone who wants a reference that works offline.

Honest status: It’s in development, and we haven’t set a date, price or final contents yet. Sections are reviewed against primary sources before they’re included, and anything still unchecked is labelled a draft. Contents, price and release date are not yet set and may change.
Offline archives keep the licence of each source, listed in each archive’s metadata. Bundled reader software keeps its own free-software licence (GPL-3.0), with source available at github.com/kiwix. Full credits and licence texts ship with the product in NOTICE.txt and /licenses/.
